Jim's Hikes and Adventures

Jim Holt has worked this year as hard as he has ever worked.

When he is not poring over his Bible and references, seeking how to equip the earnest young people who already want to follow their missionary parents' footsteps or those who are entertaining serious doubts in his Bible class...
When he is not putting together earth science lessons plans for the first time in years (read--just like starting from scratch--remember that first year, veteran teachers?)

When he is not teaching kids about outdoor skills or basic first aid...or entertaining them with yarns...or fixing German food for our Caring Community boys...

When he is not preparing sermons for Sunday services for RVA or for the struggling and broken at the IDP camp

When he is not discipling or mentoring, or encouraging...

Jim Holt takes a few hours some Saturday morning and he hikes! Here's some of the vistas he's enjoyed.
Kijabe Hill--a patchwork of beauty

Mt. Longonot--the local volcano.

Chinea Falls on a brief fishing trek in the Abedares.

A pachyderm print!

Glorying in God's wonders as great as the moon over the Aberdares...

or as small as a delicate spiderweb.
