A Greener IDP Camp--Showers of Blessings

"Walk worthily," quoted Jim. Paul shared with the Ephesus church the blessings we have in Christ--and now we are meant to walk as blessed people. You can see the crops growing behind Jim. The valley has been blessed with rain, but the IDP camps' challenges are far from over. When you have lost everything, it's hard to be patient with those nearby who seem to prosper even a little more. Petty squabbles can turn dangerous quickly.

"Walk as dear children" who imitate the generosity and grace of their Father. Good advice for us all.

A thoughtful Mzee or elder who often translates for Jim and always takes his notes for further study with others.

The men share music. The ladies and children will each have their turn. Now the Acacia Tree church has a choir--one of the best we have heard in Kenya.

Gale sits between friend Debbie and a young nurse Cassie who treated a head wound while we were there. She also visited a young mother and child. Cassie had the privilege of delivering the baby boy.

Behind the musicians is beautiful Kijabe Hill. The guitarist on the right also translated during the service. He later shared with Jim that he believes God had a hand in his trials; that he feels he is a remnant that was spared and he is at peace with the new adventure God has given him...another good lesson for us all.

Little Ones

Showing off his treasure--probably his only toy. It's more common to see children playing with castoff tires.
